Just when the White House press thought their evening was over, President Trump called them back in for a last minute photo shoot. It only lasted a few minutes, but those few minutes created more questions than answers when Trump declared that the photo shoot, which included several military leaders, was “the calm before the storm.”

When one of the members of the press asked “What storm?” Trump responded with a cryptic “You’ll find out.”

We’re pretty sure he’s not talking about tropical storm Nate.

The brief photo shoot came on the heels of the dinner hosted by the Trumps in the Blue Room for military leaders. The attendees included General Paul Selva, who is Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff.

It’s almost impossible to determine who or what the president might be referring to, considering the current global climate.

When asked if he meant ISIS, or Iran, Trump would give no definitive answers. After ongoing exchanges with North Korea through the media, the latest shooting that ISIS laid an FBI-refuted claim to, and the Iran deal coming up for recertification, it’s hard to say what’s on the president’s mind.

Since his presidency, Trump has recertified the Iran deal twice, but recently spoke of how the small country is not following the “spirit” of the deal, stating “The Iranian regime supports terrorism and exports violence, bloodshed, and chaos across the Middle East,” Trump said. “That is why we must put an end to Iran’s continued aggression and nuclear ambitions. They have not lived up to the spirit of their agreement.”

President Trump has made no secret of the fact that he has no interest in catering to any group or country in the name of reputations. Rather, his responses seem to be quick and decisive, leaving little room for any kind of debate concerning whether this president puts his own reputation before American safety and values. If anything, Trump prefers to make the American position clear, whether that means tarnishing his own name or not.

Do you trust our leader to bring a “storm”?
