Trump’s Powerful Message to African American Voters

Why do African Americans remain loyal to the democratic party? The current statistics indicate that under President Obama, Black Americans are less well off than under George W. Bush. According to poll numbers, only 2% of African Americans support Donald Trump while the majority say they support Hillary Clinton.

I’m asking for the vote of every African American citizen struggling in our country today, who wants a much different and better future. It’s time for our society to address some honest and very very difficult truths. The democratic party has failed and betrayed the African American community. ~ Donald Trump

Here’s some information black communities should consider:

  • Affordable care act was passed but didn’t help African Americans. They can’t afford it. The spending level has increased and now middle class Americans can’t afford to pay for health insurance. Only the poor get it for free.
  • Blacks make up 13% of the population but 38% of all violent crime arrests are African American individuals.
  • African Americans have the highest high school dropout rate and score lowest among ethnic groups in math and writing on the SAT’s.

  • Just looking at some of these statistics, it would seem that Donald Trump might have a point when he says this…

He is also referring to the economic conditions that have not improved for African Americans under President Obama and his administration. Household income and homeownership has drastically fallen under the president’s tenure all while the black poverty rate has risen.

I think it’s fair to say no one expects African Americans to suddenly rally behind Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton, along with certain media outlets have successfully demonized him in many black communities. In fairness, Trump has also hurt himself by not speaking “politician”. It would also be fair to say that Trump’s “call it like it is” methods of campaigning doesn’t seem to be resonating with minority voters in general.

I’ll tell you what else is fair. It’s fair to say that liberal policies haven’t really helped the African American community in the past 8 years. Regardless, Hillary Clinton and the Obama Administration will continue to tell the African American voters that they will champion for change and improve black communities across America.

It’s been 8 years of the same policies. Something has to change.
