Okay, all you Yelp-aholics out there. What would you say if I told you that Yelp no longer accepts negative reviews on their site? Exactly. If Yelp didn’t accept negative reviews, it wouldn’t be Yelp anymore. It would be the Yellow Pages—just a listing—with nothing but rave reviews. And that’s wrong on more levels than I can count. Fortunately, it’s not true—yet. But if a California lawyer has her way, it will be. A judge has already told Yelp they must delete the false statements about this lawyer that were posted by a former client. Yelp has filed an appeal with the California Supreme Court, and they will decide if they’re going to try the case in mid-October. So, cross your fingers everybody and keep on churning out those reviews.
