(UnitedVoice.com) – After days of heated bickering between the White House and Senate Democrats, it appears hard-working Americans may finally get the financial assistance they desperately need.
Early Wednesday morning, both sides announced an agreement on a massive $2 trillion dollar stimulus package deal, making it the largest in US history. The package is meant to help combat the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
According to reports, the deal’s set to provide financial relief to businesses and hospitals, and provide direct payments to most Americans. Some of the major provisions included are: $150 billion for local and state governments, $300 billion for small businesses, and $130 billion for hospitals.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) took to the Senate floor urging to get it done:
I've been called by two good friends on the Democratic side wanting more money.
There is a TON of money in this bill for people who need it.
But what we are doing now is every special interest is trying to get a little bit more.
