(UnitedVoice.com) – CNN anchor Anderson Cooper has backtracked from his abusive attack on President Trump that shocked audiences last Thursday, November 5. Cooper lost his temper when the president commented on the ongoing vote counts and ranted about how Trump resembled “an obese turtle.” Now, he’s backed away from the unprofessional outburst.
On Saturday, during an on-air discussion of the election, CNN commentator and failed Democrat presidential candidate Andrew Yang laughingly reminded Cooper of his words. A clearly embarrassed Cooper cut in to say, “By the way, I should say that I regret using those words.” He added that he’d made the comments in the heat of the moment.

While Cooper’s retraction is welcome, it’s not the first time he’s abused his position to insult the president. In May, he referred to Trump as “just a little man,” and in July, he mocked his skin color.
