When San Nicolas heard about the investigation, he said:
“I am beyond grateful for the work the Ethics Committee does to ensure transparency in Congress. I welcome this investigation and will be cooperating fully to clear this matter up.”
The accusations come from the delegate’s former Chief of Staff.
This announcement came less than 24 hours after an investigation into Democratic Rep. Katie Hill was announced by the ethics committee. Hill is being accused of having an affair with a male congressional aide and a female campaign staffer. So far she’s only admitted to having an affair with the campaign staffer, but did resign her position due to the scandal.
