Anti-Trump Official Leaving DOJ Amid Allegations

DOJ SHAKEUP – Look Who’s Leaving!

( – When President Joe Biden assumed office on January 20, 2021, he began nominating and appointing some of the most extreme far-left people into his cabinet and federal agencies. One of those individuals may have been involved in corruption. A watchdog group recently gathered government documents to show that a radical Department of Justice (DOJ) member was getting an unusual deal to the tune of $1 million a year.

Recently, the American Accountability Foundation (AAF) filed a Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) to discern more about the unique arrangement the Biden administration allowed Pamela Karlan to keep. In 2019, Karlan testified against former President Donald Trump in his first impeachment after he alleged that Biden and his son were corrupt during Hunter Biden’s stint with a Ukrainian energy company. Now, Karlan has resigned early from the DOJ under a cloud of scrutiny and questions.

AAF Says Government and Karlan Had Unethical Agreement

The AAF alleged that Karlan had an unethical agreement with the government. On February 8, 2021, she accepted an invitation by the Biden administration to work in the DOJ. She originally planned to leave her post on August 22 but resigned on July 1 — just before the group gathered the information it was looking for in its FOIA request. The Justice Department said she left early to prepare for the upcoming school year, but is that really why she resigned?

In addition to working full-time as a government employee, Karlan also drew a $1 million yearly salary from Stanford University for her work as a professor. Tom Jones, president of AAF, told the New York Post that the DOJ never announced that she was leaving the department early and only a change in a verb on her DOJ bio hinted at the switch in employment status. The head of the conservative watchdog group said he found the revelation curious as his organization pursued more information about her.

Jones said Karlan was double dipping as a paid employee at Stanford. At the same time, she was supposed to be on the federal government’s payroll. He questioned how the professor, a DOJ employee, could serve two masters, noting she was more indebted to the university than the American people.

Did the Biden Administration Allow Karlan To Work in Two Jobs?

According to Jones, the president and Attorney General Merrick Garland allowed a “sweetheart deal” to someone who attacks Americans like Trump. The Post reported that documents revealed that the Justice Department paid Stanford $183,100 to cover Karlan’s annual salary. So, according to her disclosure report, why did the school pay her $1.19 million over 15 months?

Representative Troy Nehls (R-TX) told the Post that Karlan’s tenure at the DOJ was corrupt. He added that the president wants Americans to believe the Justice Department is nonpartisan when it’s politically motivated by the Left. As important, the Texas legislator said he wants to know why Stanford paid her such a large sum and then refused to disclose the reason for the money. The Congressman insinuated that school donors with an agenda bought and paid for her government service for a political outcome.

As the head of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, Karlan criticized Arizona for auditing the 2020 election and the Supreme Court’s decision saying schools couldn’t discriminate based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

What do you think about her dual payments and quiet departure? Does it seem suspicious?
