(UnitedVoice.com) — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is once again making enemies among her fellow Democrats. This time it’s over her refusal to donate any money to the Democrat’s House campaign organization.
AOC had decided to start up her own fundraising operation to fund challengers to some of her Democratic colleagues.
Rep. Gregory Meeks, a fellow Democrat from New York made his feeling clear:
“Sometimes the question comes, do you want to be in a majority or do you want to be in the minority? And do you want to be part of a team?”
When asked why she was refusing to pay her dues, Ocasio-Cortez said, “I don’t agree with the policy around blacklisting groups that help progressive candidates. I think we need to evolve as a party and make room for that.”
The @DCCC’s new rule to blacklist+boycott anyone who does business w/ primary challengers is extremely divisive & harmful to the party.
My recommendation, if you’re a small-dollar donor: pause your donations to DCCC & give directly to swing candidates instead.
Some great ones:

In 2019 she helped raise more than $300,000 for candidates she’s endorsing by hosting online fundraisers for them.
