North Bay Produce of Traverse City in Northern Michigan has recalled 2,297 cases of apples due to the possibility of Listeria contamination.

The apples were shipped to retailers and wholesalers in several states, including Illinois, Florida, Louisiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin and Texas.
The bags of apples were sent to stores between October 16 and 21, and include six varieties: McIntosh, honeycrisp, red delicious, Jonathan, jonamac and Fuji.
The recalled apples are in bags with the name North Bay Produce Pure Michigan and Great Lakes, as well as in unbranded bags and bulk bins. If you have purchased apples from a bulk bin or with a clear plastic bag in any of the states listed above, contact the place of purchase to see if they’re part of the recall.
