(UnitedVoice.com) – Protesters all over the country have been antagonizing President Trump with shouts of “vote him out.” Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, DC, has also sided against the commander-in-chief and is actively enabling the crowds. People want a scapegoat, but who’s taking the president’s side?
On June 7th, Archbishop Carlo Viganò sent the president a letter of support.
In the letter, Viganò praises the commander-in-chief for his commitment to defending the Christian Faith. One excerpt encourages him to remember that, “…both of us are on the same side in this battle, albeit with different weapons.”
The religious leader also defended the president’s trip to the shrine of Pope John Paul II, calling the negative reports a “…media narrative which seeks not to fight racism and bring social order, but to aggravate dispositions.”
President Trump isn’t afraid to call out the mainstream media on fake news. What was once criticism of the president’s opinions has turned to nitpicks of what he must do to ensure his own safety or display his faith. It’s great that President Trump has supportive leaders like Archbishop Viganò out there to lift him up.
