Are Conservatives Winning the Georgia Election Law Argument?

( – Thanks to misinformation spewed by President Joe Biden during his first press conference, a national crisis was fabricated once again by the Left that will only serve to hurt the middle-class and poor Americans. On Friday, March 26, Biden claimed Georgia’s new election was “Un-American” and “Jim Crow.” Of course, it’s none of those things. It’s far from it.

As people start to contrast the law with Biden’s fake claims as pushed by left-wing activists, big companies and Major League Baseball (MLB) are looking rather silly because they caved to the fake narrative. It appears that Conservatives won the election reform law argument over the weekend and into Monday morning.

In fact, on Monday, April 5, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough compared the old Georgia law to the new one and found there was a lot to like in the bill, especially when compared to deep Democratic stronghold New York. Its election laws are much stricter than Georgia, yet Georgia is taking incoming fire after Biden’s disinformation campaign to smear the GOP-led state.

Media Tries to Protect Biden, But Can’t

On the Sunday morning talk shows, the media did all it could to cover for Joe Biden. However, the media can’t overcome Biden’s words when contrasted with the facts. On ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopolous,” former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie didn’t mince words.

“He’s lying about this bill. He’s lying to the American people about it to cause the raging fire he said he was going to put out.” Christie added that Biden was a hypocrite for doing what he falsely claimed Trump did — lie to create racial divisions for political gain.

How Does Georgia’s New Law Compare to New York?

In one-third of all states, voters cannot cast a ballot for no-excuse absentee voting. Georgia is not one of them. However, you might be shocked to learn that New York is among the states where no-excuse voting isn’t allowed.

There’s a lot more where that came from…

  • In New York, voters only get to vote for nine days. In Georgia, voters get to cast a ballot for 17 days.
  • New York bans water and food as long as the value is under $1 (one can’t buy a bottle of water in NY for that price), and there can’t be evidence of who’s offering it. Georgia law bans election campaigns from providing water and food as a form of electioneering. However, anyone else can offer it so long as they aren’t supporting a candidate.
  • New York doesn’t guarantee voting hours in early voting and no weekend voting. However, Georgia mandates two Saturdays and one Sunday as optional — and early voting hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On election day, voting hours did not change from a decades-long tradition.
  • New York requires an excuse to vote by absentee ballot. Georgia does not.

What Are Biden, Big Business, and MLB Talking About?

The entire narrative that Georgia’s law restricts voting is a charade. It seems Georgia expanded voting opportunities and implemented several common-sense reforms. Especially when compared next to deep blue states such as New York. Biden lied at least three times about it, far-left activists pressured businesses, and businesses likely didn’t take the time to learn the facts before taking radical positions.

So, what are these companies and MLB going to do now that they stirred the wasp nest? The hornets aren’t going back in the hive. Will they use the corporate boycott in blue states like New York, among others? It’s doubtful. Big business is led by the Left, who aren’t afraid any longer to wade into political issues. It’s not about business or what’s right or wrong. Instead, it’s about the Left’s agenda.

What the Left managed to do was create the environment that they falsely claimed existed under President Trump.

Will they get away with it?

Not as long as strong Conservatives, like Chris Christie, stand up for the truth.
