Army Not Investigating Vindman

Army Decides Not to Investigate Vindman

(UnitedVoice.com) – Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who was fired last week by President Donald Trump, is not under investigation by the Army.

This is a bit surprising considering the accusations President Trump made on Twitter shortly after Vindman was fired from his position as a National Security Council staffer.

During a meeting of the National Press Club, Army Sec. Ryan McCarthy, a senior civilian official, said that Vindman will finish an assignment he’s been working on and then enroll at a war college. It’s common for the army to send officers to college to help them prepare for senior positions.

Vindman’s lawyers claim that he was fired because he chose to testify against Trump during the impeachment hearing. Vindman’s brother, Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman, a lawyer for the National Security Council, has also been fired.

There have been no reports on who will be hired to replace either of the Vindman brothers.
