Ben Shapiro Laughs After CNN Crew Gets Robbed While Covering Crime Story

(UnitedVoice.com) – San Francisco residents are fed up with the crime in the city. For years, they have complained about the filthy streets and out-of-control crime. In 2022, voters even went as far as recalling former District Attorney Chesa Boudin (D) for not taking the problem seriously enough. A CNN crew recently experienced the crime firsthand, and Ben Shapiro thought it was hilarious.

On March 17, CNN senior national correspondent Kyung Lah was in the city to report on the city’s rampant street crime and how voters are angry about it. She tweeted that while she and Jason Kravarik, a senior producer, were at City Hall, their rental car was broken into. She claimed the theft happened in less than four seconds, saying it was “ridiculous.”

In follow-up tweets, Lah explained they had security guards with them who tried to grab the thieves but weren’t able to. She told her followers that although the city is “beautiful,” visitors should know that even hiring security “is not enough.”

Lah went on to say that it was “ironic” that they were reporting on the rampant street crime when the theft occurred. Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro agreed.

According to Mediaite, on March 21, Shapiro made fun of the CNN crew’s misfortune on his podcast, “The Ben Shapiro Show.” Like Lah, he said it was ironic that the reporters were robbed when they were in the liberal city.

Shapiro took it as an opportunity to attack the news network for being soft on crime, but then its reporters were robbed. He said San Francisco is an example of what happens when law enforcement is not dedicated to catching criminals, but instead, they try to get people who “will make the DA more famous.” He went on to say that the resources in many liberal cities are not being allocated properly, and it’s not making people’s lives better.
