(UnitedVoice.com) – Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is known for railing against capitalism. The far-Left senator constantly attacks wealthy Americans. That’s what makes his latest book tour so ironic.
Sanders is going on tour for his new book “It’s OK to Be Angry About Capitalism.” The publisher’s description of the book states the lawmaker argues that “unfettered capitalism is to blame for an unprecedented level of income and wealth inequality” and is undermining the US democracy as a result. The publisher, Penguin Random House, has scheduled an eight-stop promotion tour for Sanders. Tickets for the events cost between $55 to $95 on Ticketmaster. Those who purchase a ticket will also receive a copy of the book.
During a February interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” host Margaret Brennan confronted the lawmaker about the cost of his ticket prices. She pointed out Ticketmaster has been “accused of anti-competitive behavior” recently. She asked, “Aren’t you benefiting yourself from this system that you’re trying to dismantle?”

Sanders told the host that decisions about the tour are made by the publisher, not him. He said that he is also doing a number of free events and claimed he doesn’t make any money from the tour. Brennan asked the senator if he was comfortable doing business with Ticketmaster. Sanders said he was not, but he didn’t have anything to do with that aspect of the business. He agreed with the CBS host when she said he is “operat[ing] within the system.”
Ticketmaster has been under fire for merging with Live Nation Entertainment and creating what Democratic lawmakers believe is a monopoly.
Daily reminder that Ticketmaster is a monopoly, it’s merger with LiveNation should never have been approved, and they need to be reigned in.
Break them up.

Additionally, Ticketmaster is accused of adding “junk fees” and causing ticket prices to raise as much as 78%. Despite the criticism, Sanders is still doing business with them. There’s no word on whether the senator gave up his free will when signing the contract, which would prevent him from refusing to do business with a company he morally opposes.
