(UnitedVoice.com) – Former Vice President Joe Biden became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee this week when Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) announced the suspension of his presidential campaign.
Unfortunately for Joe, celebrations were cut short as news broke about a criminal complaint filed against him for assault.

The Washington Metropolitan Police received a criminal complaint by former Senate staffer, Tara Reade, who worked for Biden back in 1993. She’s accusing him of pushing her against the wall in a Senate corridor and using his fingers to penetrate her.
Reade has been very vocal of the incident and has taken to Twitter on several occasions in an effort to tell her story.
In honor of April Sexual Assault awareness month, I will continue to stand and speak up. 1993 was the year I was sexually harassed and assaulted by Joe Biden, my then boss. The smears and mistruths about me will not take my dignity or change what happened. This was me 1993 pic.twitter.com/mrMnkaenff

In the past, Biden has expressed his overall general view on allegations of misconduct saying that when a woman comes forward, people should presume “… at least the essence of what she’s talking about is real, whether or not she forgets facts …”
The Biden campaign has yet to address the accusations of misconduct and the media has mostly ignored Reade. It appears Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have a major issue on their hands as they prepare to take on President Trump in the 2020 presidential election.
