(UnitedVoice.com) – Last Thursday President Biden declared “America is back” — puzzling a lot of Americans who weren’t aware it had ever gone away. The bizarre statement, widely seen as an attack on the Trump presidency, quickly came under fire from Republicans.
On February 4, Biden gave his first speech on foreign policy, an area where the previous administration was particularly strong. However, Biden decided to give a rambling, awkward address that included the line “America is back. Diplomacy is back at the center of our foreign policy.”

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who worked with President Trump on many of the foreign policy successes of the last four years, wasn’t impressed. Talking to Fox News on Thursday night, Pompeo responded, “Does he mean back to when ISIS controlled a caliphate in Syria that was the size of Britain? I hope not.” He went on to say that he didn’t think America could afford to go back to the Obama era’s foreign policies — and he’s not wrong.
