Biden Criticizes Supreme Court, Calling It an “Advocacy Group”
(UnitedVoice.com) – Democrats have repeatedly attacked the Supreme Court since the Justices issued a number of controversial rulings last year. They went wild when the Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the long-standing abortion precedent. That ruling has led to attacks from the president of the US.
On October 11, President Joe Biden held a virtual fundraiser for Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE). He laid out what he thought about the upcoming midterms, saying it’s one of the most important election cycles he’s participated in “because a lot can change because the institutions have changed.”
Then, the 46th president criticized the Supreme Court, calling it “an advocacy group” that isn’t “evenhanded” anymore.
Biden: “I view this … off-year election as one of the most important elections that I’ve been engaged in, because a lot can change because the institutions have changed. The Supreme Court is more of an advocacy group these days than it is … evenhanded.” https://t.co/q7ugBaGA76

The only position the Court advocated for was a Constitutional one. The Justices overturned the previous precedent for abortion because it wasn’t a right explicitly stated in the Constitution.
The Left has made it clear it wants to keep its majority and expand it in the Senate. They hope to eventually reach a filibuster-proof majority, allowing them to take on the High Court. If Democrats could accomplish that, many have been vocal about expanding the Court and reducing the power of the Conservatives on the Court — turning it into none other than a Liberal advocacy group.
