Big Reports Coming in From Mar-A-Lago

(UnitedVoice.com) – Former President Donald Trump still has an incredible amount of pull in the Republican Party. In fact, he’s still popular among voters too, a recent Morning Consult/POLITICO poll found 70% of Conservatives want him to run again. So, it’s no surprise GOP midterm candidates are flocking to Mar-A-Lago for the former president’s support.

According to reports, Conservative candidates have held more than 30 events at Trump properties through mid-December, including at Mar-A-Lago. Senate candidate Herschel Walker, running to represent Georgia, raised $1 million for his campaign on December 1 at Trump’s Palm Beach club. One day later, the former president dined with donors who paid $250,000 each for the honor. The money went directly into the coffers of his Make America Great Again super PAC.

People often talk about the Republican Party in terms of before and after Trump. It’s easy to understand why that is when taking stock of the party in 2021. Candidates trip over themselves to get the former president’s attention and endorsements. He has energized the GOP base like no other leader since the late President Ronald Reagan. Thousands of people brave rain and snowstorms to see him speak at packed venues. He led the country toward prosperity for four years, and his love of America shines through every time he speaks. As the party heads into important midterm campaigns, it makes sense they’d want to include the most popular Conservative in decades.
