(UnitedVoice.com) – Another one bites the dust. Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Cory Booker has announced this past week that he’s ending his campaign.
It’s with a full heart that I share this news—I’m suspending my campaign for president.
To my team, supporters, and everyone who gave me a shot—thank you. I am so proud of what we built, and I feel nothing but faith in what we can accomplish together. pic.twitter.com/Fxvc549vlJ

In an email to supporters, Booker admitted that in order to win, he had to scale up his campaign. Doing that would cost money, something he hasn’t done a great job of raising.
Booker’s announcement wasn’t a surprise to many, it became obvious last week that he wouldn’t qualify for the Democratic Debate that was held on Tuesday. Booker wasn’t leading in any of the polls that he needed to qualify for the debate. He did meet the fundraising threshold, but it still wasn’t enough.
The Senator only raised $6.6 million in the most recent fundraising quarter, which was significantly less than other top candidates. In the email to his supporters, Booker promised that he would do everything possible to help elect the Democratic nominee once they are chosen.
