Breaking News: Snipers Kill 5 Police Officers and Wound 6 More in Dallas Protest

Here is the quick version of what’s happened in the past couple of days that has led to the horrific shooting of police officers in Dallas, Texas.
It all started with a peaceful protest until shots rang out from snipers embedded in buildings high above the crowd. They were strategic in selecting police officers as their targets.
Baton Rouge, LA shooting
Graphic cellphone video, recorded by a witness and by the store’s owner, appears to show Alton Sterling, 37, being tackled and shot as two cops pin him to the ground before he is killed. Authorities said he was armed.
His death sparked protests against police brutality in Baton Rouge, and family members and the local NAACP branch called for an independent outside review of the police department.

Thursday Evening in Dallas, Texas
In Dallas, gunfire broke out Thursday evening at a demonstration, turning a vocal but peaceful rally into chaos as two snipers shot at police officers, killing five and injuring six.

Friday, July 8th 1:11 A.M
As of this time, police are in a standoff with gunman in a parking structure as they trade gunfire and pause for negotiations. 3 suspects are in custody but nothing further is being reported.
The suspect in the current standoff has told negotiators that the end is coming and he is going to hurt and kill more law enforcement and that there are bombs all over the place in this garage and in downtown.
Police are trying to figure out the motive but it’s speculated that retaliation against police officers is due to the shootings by law enforcement in the past couple of days.
