(UnitedVoice.com) – Democratically-run Chicago has been in the midst of gang wars for years. It’s so bad, people can’t even walk down the street in parts of the city without worrying about losing their lives. The city is so dangerous it was nicknamed “Chi-Raq,” a play off of “Iraq.”
On Wednesday, October 7, violence once again gripped the city when 14 people were shot in a 24-hour period. Two people lost their lives, a 10-year-old was hurt, and the city was once again thrust into the national spotlight.

Democratic leadership in the city has failed to get the violence under control. People are dying and leaders have done nothing substantial to stop it.
In June, President Donald Trump sent a letter to Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, both Democrats, telling them he’s willing to work with them to help the residents of the city. They would just have to put politics aside and restore order.
It’s clear that’s not happened. People continue to die while Democrat leaders sit on their hands. When is enough going to be enough?
