On October 28th, the US Coast Guard announced that it had seized approximately $377 million worth of cocaine and marijuana from international waters. The operation took place over a period of approximately two months.

Officers located nearly 11,000 pounds of marijuana and 27,300 pounds of cocaine collected during 18 interdictions. The Coast Guard worked in the Caribbean Basin, the eastern Pacific Ocean, Central and South Americas, and Mexico.
Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Jason Neiman thanked all the international partners who helped stop the drugs from hitting the streets. During a press conference, he said: “the commitment and dedication of international allies and partners, like the Colombians, as we work together to disrupt the networks that profit from them.”
