(UnitedVoice.com) – When the news broke about the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) decision to drop all charges against former White House national security advisor, Michael Flynn, many prominent Democrats had a lot to say.
Back in 2017, Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia. He later withdrew his guilty plea and decided to fight the charges levied against him.
House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), made a statement accusing Attorney General William of “covering up” for President Trump and saying his decision was purely political.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) had her opinions about why the DOJ decided to drop the charges:

Even former FBI Director James Comey chimed in on his thoughts:
The DOJ has lost its way. But, career people: please stay because America needs you. The country is hungry for honest, competent leadership.

Upon learning the charges were dropped against Michael Flynn, President Trump made a statement, shaming those who investigated the former national security advisor in the first place.
After years of legal troubles, it appears the retired United States Army Lieutenant General can finally start to piece his life back together and put this all behind him.
