(UnitedVoice.com) – Throughout history, ancient civilizations have practiced different ways of greeting each other. These simple gestures would help convey a sense of peace and openness, especially in a first encounter.
Now, due to the impact COVID-19 has had on the world, one medical professional is suggesting the practice of shaking hands should come to an end.
During a Wall Street Journal podcast released Tuesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House Coronavirus Task Force member and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, strongly suggested that after the coronavirus pandemic is over, people should never shake hands again.

He also suggested everyone should continue the practice of washing their hands compulsively in an effort to stop the spread of germs and diseases like influenza.
His hope is Americans will not soon forget the lessons learned from this deadly coronavirus pandemic.
