Democratic Senate Candidate Refuses To Meet With Biden in His Own State

Democrats ABANDONING Joe Biden? Nowhere to be Found

(UnitedVoice.com) – President Joe Biden’s approval is in the proverbial toilet. According to FiveThirtyEight, his approval rating is just 38.6%, and his disapproval rating is 56.3%. Perhaps that’s why two Democratic candidates didn’t attend an event he was at recently.

On Wednesday, July 6, Biden visited Cleveland, Ohio, to discuss his economic agenda. A number of Democratic officials were there, including Senator Sherrod Brown and Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb. Two Democrats were noticeably absent from the event: gubernatorial candidate Nan Whaley and Rep. Tim Ryan, who is running for US Senate.

Before the event, The Washington Times reported both candidates had scheduling conflicts. When reporters asked, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre downplayed the candidates’ decisions to not show up at the event. She said they worked closely with both Liberals, particularly Ryan.

Jean-Pierre added the Biden administration worked with Ryan closely on a “variety of issues.” She said that even though he wasn’t at the event, he issued a statement supporting it, and they’ve been “in constant communication.”

Both Democratic candidates are in tough races and are largely considered the underdogs. Pundits consider Ohio a battleground state, but Republicans have an edge. If they’d attended the event with an extremely unpopular president, he might have hurt their chances even more.

What do you think? Do you believe the Democrats skipped the event to avoid association with Biden?
