Democratic Strategist Slams Biden For Not Acknowledging His Grandchild

(UnitedVoice.com) – President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, conceived a child out of wedlock in 2018. Navy Joan Roberts’ paternity was established in court, and Hunter is currently paying child support. However, the POTUS, who regularly talks about his grandchildren, has never publicly acknowledged her, and that has rubbed some people the wrong way.

On July 1, The New York Times published an article claiming Biden’s staffers have been told the president and first lady have six grandchildren, not seven. The narrative leaves out the 4-year-old Navy, even though her mother, Lunden Roberts, has proven the president is her child’s grandfather. Jessica Tarlov, a host of Fox News’ “The Five” and former Democratic strategist, criticized Biden’s response.

Tarlov doesn’t believe the president would be happy if the little girl didn’t exist, but said he should acknowledge her. The first step toward doing that is by telling his son that “enough’s enough.” She said the POTUS should be honest and tell Hunter that he can handle all of his other issues like “the addiction, the videos” and whatever else, but when it comes to Navy, “this is humanity.”

The liberal television host said the situation is even more unfathomable because Navy reportedly knows her grandpa is the president and is proud of that, but she “doesn’t get acknowledged.”

Maureen Dowd, a columnist for the NYT, has also written about the strange reality of Biden not acknowledging his seventh grandchild. In an op-ed for the newspaper, she claimed her Republican sister, who has supported Biden for years, recently wrote him a letter begging him to acknowledge his granddaughter. Dowd said her sister discussed Hunter Biden hiring high-priced lawyers to keep the little girl from using the “Biden name” and asking a judge to lower his child support payments.

Dowd said that she and her sister don’t often agree about politics, but this is one point where they do. The columnist pointed out that the president always talks about how his family is his number one priority but said, “Callously scarring Navy’s life, just as it gets started, undercuts that.”
