Democrats Threaten to Push Through Despite Republican Disapproval

(UnitedVoice.com) – When Joe Biden ran for president, he swore up and down that he was going to bring unity to the government. That still hasn’t happened more than four months into his presidency. It seems Democrats are going to try to completely obliterate any chance there is of that ever happening.

According to a May 26 report by The Hill, Democrats in Congress are angry that Republicans won’t bend to their will. The party’s major bills are all stuck in the Senate, so they’ve had to work on smaller bills. Now, they’re reportedly trying to find a way to get their major priorities through the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told reporters they hoped the GOP would work with them, but they aren’t going to “let them saying ‘no’ stand in” their way. There are talks of the Left trying to push the infrastructure bill through Congress without the help of Republicans.

There’s also been talk that Democrats are going to use budget reconciliation to push through some of their key pieces of legislation, like infrastructure. That would allow them to pass a couple of more budget-related bills with a simple majority. If they do that, it’ll prove once and for all their talk about unity, all they really want is power.
