Did Trump Really Tell People to Vote Twice?

Did Trump Really Tell People to Vote Twice?

(UnitedVoice.com) – The Left is at it again. They’re blaring headlines far and wide claiming President Trump told people to vote twice — once through mail-in ballot and once at the polls.

But did he really say this?

The short answer to the question is no. However, Leftist media shills for the Liberals have gone ahead and spread a (probably intentional) misunderstanding of the situation.

The highlights of the tweet that President Donald Trump sent out in his own words, state in plain English, which one would think “news” organizations could read:

  • Sign and mail in your ballot as early as possible.
  • Go to your polling place to see whether or not your mail-in vote has been tabulated.
  • If it has not been counted, VOTE.
  • If your mail-in ballot arrives after you vote … that ballot won’t be counted [because] you’ve already cast your vote which has been tabulated.

This is termed a “provisional ballot.” It’s a long-standing right of the American people to make sure their voices are heard when some unforeseen circumstance may have caused their first ballot to go uncounted.

Ensuring your right to vote through this failsafe measure is not illegal voting, it’s not trying to cheat the ballot box. Rather what it is, in reality, is the President of the United States of America, encouraging the citizens to be vigilant and do what they can to make sure that the most important selection in at least a generation is handled in an upright manner.
