(UnitedVoice.com) – President Joe Biden has pushed a number of former President Donald Trump’s appointees. For example, he booted Sean Spicer and 10 others from military academy advisory boards. Now, the POTUS has fired a popular doctor and former pro athlete from another board.
On March 23, the Biden Administration sent letters to Dr. Mehmet Oz and former NFL player Herschel Walker, informing them they must resign or be fired from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. The doctor responded to the president’s request in a series of tweets, saying he would not be resigning from his position. He said he thinks the POTUS is targeting him because he refused to toe the line when it came to the White House’s COVID-19 response.
President Trump appointed me to two terms on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. The White House just emailed me demanding my resignation by the end of the day.

Walker also said he would not be resigning from his position on the council. He said Biden would have to fire him.
President Biden is so scared about us beating Raphael Warnock that he has asked me to resign from my unpaid position on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.
I’m not a quitter so you are going to have to fire me.

Walker and Oz are both currently running for Senate. According to the Hatch Act, the two men are considered special government employees who “may not be candidates in partisan elections” while they were serving on the board. Had they remained on the board, they might have been cited for violations.
