(UnitedVoice.com) – In March, classified documents from the US Pentagon appeared on social media sites. While some of the photos appeared doctored, it was clear that a serious breach had happened. On April 13, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced an arrest related to the leak. Now another name is coming up in the investigation.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, a woman named Sarah Bils has been allegedly mentioned as the woman who oversaw the Telegram account “Donbass Devushka” that shared the classified documents Jack Teixeira is accused of posting online. Bils reportedly served as a noncommissioned officer in the US Navy until November 2022.
An unnamed US official told the newspaper that Bils is “actively under federal investigation.” However, the scope of the probe is “unclear at this time.”

Bils’ “Donbass Devushka” account has become one of the most prolific during the Russian war on Ukraine. She allegedly pretended to be from Eastern Europe. The 37-year-old admitted to the WSJ that she was the one who owned the account but claimed others helped her run it. She also told the newspaper that the classified documents were shared on her channel, but she said she wasn’t the one who posted them and claimed she deleted them.
According to the report, she sold merchandise with images of the Wagner Group and the Russian military on them so that she could raise money to help President Vladimir Putin’s country. Some of the fundraisers took place while serving in the US Navy. She said she sent the money to organizations in Syria, Pakistan, Somalia, and other areas.
Many of the Pentagon documents leaked detailed the US and NATO involvement in the Russian war on Ukraine. Some of the images altered were reportedly done in a way that made the invading military seem stronger and make America look bad. It’s unclear if Bils knew Teixeira.
