(UnitedVoice.com) – On Tuesday, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, spoke to the Senate Health Committee. He expressed concerns about reopening the economy, saying it shouldn’t happen until the Trump Administration sets up checkpoints. Fauci also warned America was going to “turn the clock back instead of going forward,” referencing the progress the US has made over the past few months.
Fauci also led the social distancing charge, instilling how important is, and stressing the necessity of continuing the practice. This is especially true in the wake of reopening many businesses across the country.
It’s not all bad news, though, as President Trump tweeted of America’s coming milestone of 10 million COVID-19 tests by the end of this week.
More than all other countries together! https://t.co/VsgQu6LTkt

This would mean that one in thirty Americans will have been tested for COVID-19. Fauci definitely has a point, when reaching successful outcomes such as this one, why turn the clock back? However, keeping states on lockdown is devastating the economy. There’s a fine line to walk for sure.
