FBI Arrests Pro-Life Activist at His Home

(UnitedVoice.com) – Pro-life activist Mark Houck, 48, has made it his mission to save babies from certain death when their mothers visit abortion clinics in Pennsylvania. In 2021, he got into an altercation with a pro-choice man. Federal authorities are now charging him with a crime and recently raided his home.

According to an interview with LifeSite news, about 25 to 30 FBI agents allegedly raided Houck’s home on September 23. The pro-life activist said his seven children were present when federal law enforcement descended. The kids were screaming as agents in SWAT gear took him into custody.

Agents arrested Houck on a charge of “attack[ing] a patient escort,” violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act of 1994. The Department of Justice released a statement about the arrest, accusing him of assaulting a 72-year-old clinic escort twice. First, the senior was escorting two women when Houck allegedly pushed him to the ground. In another incident, the victim said the defendant pushed him down again, injuring him.

Ryan-Marie Houck, the activist’s wife, claims the elder was the aggressor. Further, she said the agents pointed rifles at her husband. Her children allegedly screamed that their dad was their “best friend.” When that happened, she said the agents started to soften. “They looked pretty ashamed at what had just happened,” she told Lifesite News.

Houck is facing up to 11 years in prison and possible fines for the alleged assault.
