Rep. Kenny Marchant has announced that he is not seeking reelection in 2020. Marchant is the fourth GOP House member from Texas to announce his retirement over the past few weeks. With all the positions that are opening up, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is hoping they can flip the traditionally conservative districts.

TSA agents at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport made a scary discovery recently. A traveler was hiding a knife in a bouquet of flowers in their carry-on. Knives are only allowed to be kept in checked bags. The reason that the passenger was trying to sneak a knife onto the plane has not been disclosed. The passenger will face a civil penalty.

California Sued Over Trump Tax Law

The group Judicial Watch has filed a federal lawsuit against California over its new law that President Trump can’t appear on their ballot unless he releases his tax returns. JW says that the law is unconstitutional, which is true. The Constitution only has three rules for appearing on the ballot, none of which deal with the release of personal information like tax returns.

California needs to learn that they are not above the law.
