A recent survey sponsored by the Campaign for Free Speech has some startling, but not surprising results.
Poll: Majority of Americans Want First Amendment Rewritten https://t.co/UPTBHrHR44

Around 1,000 people over the age of 18 answered questions about different areas of censorship. Of these, 51% felt the First Amendment allows for too much hate speech and doesn’t reflect current cultural norms.
When it comes to offensive or hurtful words in the media, 61% said they should be censored and 63% said the government should limit the speech of anti-vaccine activists, racists, Holocaust deniers and neo-Nazis.
Millennials supported almost every question that had to do with restricting free speech.
In a time of safe spaces and participation awards, we should expect that millennials would want to quiet anyone who might hurt their feelings. What they don’t seem to realize is that feelings and opinions change. The Constitution is in place to protect our fundamental rights. It shouldn’t change because one generation has become overly sensitive.
