(UnitedVoice.com) – COVID-19 is forcing Americans to spend most of their time at home. While it’s necessary to fight the spread of the virus, it can be a little boring. That’s why HBO, Netflix and Amazon are all offering free features during the pandemic.
HBO recently announced it’s making nearly 500 hours of programming available for free to people in the US. Viewers can watch full seasons of shows like “The Sopranos” and “The Wire” to help curb boredom. A number of documentaries and movies are also available at no cost.

Netflix has a cool feature for people who are missing their friends and family. All customers have to do is download a chrome extension called “Netflix Party.” After it’s been added to their browser, they can watch movies and TV shows with the people they miss. It includes a live chat feature so you can even comment to each other while watching.
Finally, for multi-generational homes where little kids are running rampant, Amazon is allowing free access to more than 40 TV shows and movies. Customers just have to log into their accounts and go to the webpage with the content.
Sitting at home and streaming a movie with loved ones may not be the same as going to a movie, but it can still be fun. Plus, there’s the added bonus that you can do it without putting pants on. If you’re feeling really crazy, you can even sit outside on your patio.
The pandemic will be over soon enough and then we can all go back to our regularly scheduled lives. In the meantime, there are plenty of ways to keep busy.
