Russia and the G-7
President Donald Trump repeated his call this week for Russia to be readmitted into the G-7. The group will be having a summit in France this coming weekend. G-7, which used to be known as the G-8, includes the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan and Germany.
In 2014, the group claimed that Russia was removed from this global summit after annexing Crimea. President Trump revealed his own theory as to why Russia was forced to leave during a press conference.
“I’ve gone to numerous G-7 meetings, and I guess President Obama because Putin outsmarted him, President Obama thought it wasn’t a good thing to have Russia in so he wanted Russia out. I think it’s much more appropriate to have Russia in and it should be the G-8.”
Trump continues his attempts to undo the damage caused by Obama’s legacy to America and global politics at large.
John Sullivan: Potential New Russian Ambassador
Trump confirmed earlier this week that he may appoint Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan as the new Russian ambassador. Trump said that Sullivan is under consideration and is very well respected.
State Dept's John Sullivan is "very respected” and
"he could very well be” the pick for US ambassador to Russia to replace Jon Huntsman, Trump says in Oval. Pompeo likes him “very much."

Current Russian Ambassador Jon Huntsman announced his resignation in early August after two years of service. John Sullivan has experience with Russia, which makes him an appealing pick. Last month he led a US delegation to Geneva to talk about arms control.
In his confirmation hearing for Deputy Secretary he promised to go hard on Russia over their “intrusion into our democracy.” Prior to joining the Trump administration, Sullivan served as Deputy Secretary of Commerce under George W. Bush as well as General Counsel at Commerce.
Hillary Clinton Charges $50,000 a Plate at Fundraiser
Want to have dinner and a chat with Hillary Clinton? You probably don’t, and we don’t blame you. But, Liberals who do want to hang out with Clinton will have to pay between $15,000 and $50,000. The absurdly expensive fundraiser is being held for the DNC at her Washington D.C. mansion.
It’s not surprising that Hillary is hosting an event that caters to the extremely wealthy Liberal elite. Both her and the majority of the Democrat presidential nominees all fall into that category.
