Gavin Newsom KIDNAPPING Investigation Requested
(UnitedVoice.com) – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) recently paid to send 50 asylum seekers to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. Many of the migrants have since claimed organizers lied to them when they accepted the transportation. Now voices on the Left, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, want the Justice Department to launch a criminal probe.
NPR reporters spoke to the immigrants who touched down in Martha’s Vineyard, a summer destination for wealthy Liberals like former President Barack Obama, on September 14. Many of them told a tale about a woman named Perla promising them a trip to Boston where they could have their employment authorization documents expedited. However, when the migrants were in the air, witnesses said someone told them they’d be landing on the island instead.
Newsom accused DeSantis of kidnapping and sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding an investigation.

In a speech in Daytona, DeSantis defended his actions. All the immigrants boarded voluntarily, and he said the transportees had maps of where they were going. He told the crowd he had a team of workers on the ground in Texas to root out migrants who might come to Florida. Most of those whom the Florida governor transported to the island were Venezuelans. The Sunshine State has experienced an influx of asylum seekers from the country as they escape Socialist Nicolás Maduro’s regime. The governor said he intends to continue using the $12 million that the Florida legislature allocated this year to relocate immigrants.
