Republican Dares Dems to Start Impeachment Vote

Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) is tired of his Democratic colleagues throwing around the seemingly empty threat of impeaching President Trump.

Earlier this month, the House Judiciary Committee decided to hold a vote to look into impeachment. Not surprisingly everyone voted along party lines. The next step involves members of the committee questioning witnesses and utilizing new methods to gather information.

McClintock made it clear to the committee that they are overstepping their bounds and don’t have the authority to begin an impeachment inquiry because the House of Representatives has not yet voted.

During his speech, he said “Resolve that the House authorizes the Judiciary Committee to conduct an inquiry into the impeachment of the president. It’s that simple. I dare you to do it. In fact, I double-dog dare you to do it.”

If the Dems haven’t begun the impeachment process by now, then it’s all but certain that they’ll never have the gall to follow through with their words.

ICE Writes Letter to the Public

Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) recently released a letter to the public hoping to clear up the many misconceptions pushed by the Left.

TEST

This letter comes one month after someone fired shots at two buildings in San Antonio, where multiple ICE officers work. In the letter, ICE shares their concerns about the spread of misinformation and how it’s hindering officers from simply doing their jobs. ICE believes that this misinformation may have inspired the attacks against both office buildings.

“As such, it greatly concerns us when advocacy groups, citizens and politicians share and support incorrect or misleading information about our mission that is a vital part of national security and public safety. These misconceptions may lead to violence, which places innocent bystanders, aliens and law enforcement officers in danger. This summer, two ICE facilities – the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Washington, and the ERO Field Office in San Antonio, Texas – have been targets of lawless gunfire.”

ICE agents are merely trying to keep Americans safe. They signed up for a dangerous job that few others would take; yet, it often seems as if the Left only punishes them for their service.

Officers from ICE deserve our respect, not our misplaced violence.

Ted Cruz Doesn’t Like Trump’s Judicial Nominee

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) will oppose Halil Suleyman Ozerden, President Trump’s nominee for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

In a statement, Cruz said: “For a lifetime appointment on the court of appeals, I believe we should be looking for someone with a strong, demonstrated record as a constitutionalist. I have significant concerns that Judge Ozerden’s judicial record does not indicate that he meets that standard. For that reason, I do not believe he should be on the court of appeals, and I will oppose his nomination.”

While some senators are still undecided, the majority of them have said that they approve of Ozerden’s nomination. The Trump administration has been confirming judges extremely quickly in an attempt to ensure the integrity of our legal system.
