GOP Senators Move to Block Two of Biden's Executive Orders

(UnitedVoice.com) – On January 20, shortly after the inauguration, President Joe Biden signed a flurry of executive orders undoing many of former President Donald Trump’s successful policies. Some Republicans are now pushing back and trying to block the Democrat from implementing two of his orders.

GOP Senators Steve Daines (MT), John Barrasso (WY), Cynthia Lummis (WY), Roger Marshall (KS), Jerry Moran (KS), and Mike Crapo (ID) backed a resolution to stop Biden from re-entering the Paris Agreement without two-thirds approval of the Senate.

The lawmakers also plan to introduce a bill to continue the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. Senator Barrasso said the decision to stop work on the pipeline is going to rob workers in Canada and the US “of good-paying jobs.” Other Republicans, like Senator Ted Cruz (TX) echoed their concerns after Biden’s orders came down.

At a time when President Biden should be implementing policies to bolster the economy, he seems determined to destroy it. Republicans are going to need to hold the line and stop that from happening.
