GOP Unifies in Opposition to Biden's Extreme Agenda

( – America is almost a month into the Biden administration and America is changing quickly. During the election, Joe Biden promised to be the most progressive president in American history. He may be outdoing himself.

As the new president seeks to abandon former President Trump’s America First policies, he is providing the GOP with lots of ammunition. He’s not just lurching America left. He’s whiplashing the country. In doing so, he’s creating a best-case scenario for the GOP as the party unites around a strong contrast to Biden’s extreme agenda.

It’s Time to Get Down to Business

Now that the impeachment trial of Donald Trump is over, the nation is ready to move forward in what is likely to be one of the greatest political battles in decades. Already, President Biden is opening up the southern border while considering restricting the movements of Americans. Additionally, he began pursuing a radical New Green Deal climate agenda by stripping permits for the XL Keystone Pipeline, resulting in thousands of lost jobs. That’s just the opening salvo.

COVID-19 Isn’t All About COVID-19

Biden is working closely with the House and Senate to pass a whopping $1.9 trillion partisan, left-wing COVID-19 pandemic package. At least one proposal is creating a division within Democratic ranks that could threaten the bill’s passage using a budget gimmick known as reconciliation. After the Senate stripped a $15 per hour federal minimum wage provision last week, the House reinserted it.

However, Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Krysten Sinema (D-AZ) say they will not vote for the bill with the minimum wage provision. That would kill it since they need all Democrat Senate members to vote for the bill to pass it. Regardless, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) somehow believes the left has a “good shot” at passing the bill anyway.

Going Farther Left

In addition to Biden’s extreme climate change, open borders, and COVID-19 agenda, Biden sought to steal the America First platform. However, his view is very different from that of conservatives who believe that the world benefits when America puts its values first. Unfortunately, Biden is already undermining America. For example, some of his Cabinet picks offer a perceived, if not real, softness towards the communist government in China. Instead of holding China accountable for COVID-19, they excuse it.

In addition, the administration is also going after the 2nd Amendment. Biden is calling for gun owners to give up certain guns and magazines or register them with the government. Recently, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told the media that the administration is planning to move forward with the president’s aggressive gun control plan as outlined during the campaign.

On Saturday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) echoed what numerous GOP members recently said. “My goal is to win in 2022 to stop the most radical agenda I’ve seen coming out of the Democratic presidency of Joe Biden.”

Will the GOP be able to hold back the onslaught until help arrives? The race for 2022 is on.
