GOP Women Flip 4 Congressional Seats Held By Democrats on Election Night

(UnitedVoice.com) – Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) went into the election hoping to pick up several seats and expand her majority. When the sun rose on November 4, it was clear that wasn’t going to happen. Not only did the Democratic leader not gain seats, she actually lost several. Although she had a bad night, it was great for women.

Four Republican women took seats from Democrats. Stephanie Bice beat Oklahoma’s only Democratic Congresswoman, Kendra Thorn. Minnesota’s Michelle Fishbach unseated Rep. Collin Peterson. Nancy Mace took out Rep. Joe Cunningham (D-SC), and Maria Elvira Salazar won her race against Florida Rep. Donna Shalala.

Democrats often say Republicans are sexist. Some have even claimed that’s why Hillary Clinton lost in 2016. It’s clear that’s not the case. A party that hates women would not continue to put them in positions of power. The election results destroyed another radical Left narrative.
