Impeachment Transcripts Released — Well, Some of Them

Impeachment Transcripts Released

Democrats have finally released transcripts of the testimony from Michael McKinley, who served as Senior Adviser to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Marie Yovanovitch, the former US Ambassador to Ukraine.

In the transcripts, Yovanovitch said people in Ukraine informed her of Rudy Giuliani’s plans to get her fired. McKinley testified that part of the reason he resigned was that he saw State Department employees attempting to get information on Trump’s 2020 opponents.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), the people responsible for releasing the transcripts, said in a statement on Monday:

“As we move towards this new public phase of the impeachment inquiry, the American public will begin to see for themselves the evidence that the committees have collected. With each new interview, we learn more about the President’s attempt to manipulate the levers of power to his personal political benefit.”

Many Republicans have since spoken out, asking for the full transcripts to be released — not just a select few.

How are we supposed to get a clear picture of the situation without ALL the information? The secrecy of the witch hunt continues.
