Iranian Forces Reportedly on the Ground in Ukraine
(UnitedVoice.com) – The Iranians and Russians have a longstanding relationship, much to the dismay of Western nations. Reports recently indicated the Middle Eastern nation is becoming involved in the war on Ukraine in a big way.
On October 14, the Daily Mirror posted an exclusive story claiming Iran sent up to 50 specialists with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to Ukraine. The Kremlin purportedly sent the Iranian forces to the eastern and southern frontlines with hundreds of “Kamikaze drones,” also known as Shahed-136 drones. The report alleges that Russian troops already use the weapons to hammer the Ukrainian military.
Up to 50 IRGC specialists have been deployed to Ukrainian territory occupied by Russia.
One Ukrainian military source told the Daily Mirror: “At least one of the Iranian training teams has been hit recently and they are actively being hunted down.”https://t.co/TQr2xQfYJj

CNN reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian denied his country was sending the drones to Russia to use in the war during a call with Portuguese Foreign Minister João Gomes Cravinho. The Iranian official said his government “has not and will not” provide the weapons for use in the war.
Ukrainian authorities allege Russia has used the drones in attacks on Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and other cities. The invaded nation’s military is fighting back against the alleged IRGC specialists. A Ukrainian official told the Mirror that its troops had neutralized one of the Iranian training teams and said the rest are “actively being hunted down.”
The Russian government has not commented on the reports.
