Israel Preparing for a War With Iran

Israeli Military Making Big Moves – WAR With Iran Brewing?

(UnitedVoice.com) – Backed by the United States, on May 14, 1948, Israel proclaimed itself a country for the first time in 2,000 years. Over the two millennia, the Babylonians, Persians, Romans, Christians, and Muslims overtook the small Jewish nation. In the 1980s, a new crop of anti-Israeli Muslim groups headed by Iran evolved into terrorist groups. Hezbollah was prime among them. Since then, Iran has called for the destruction and elimination of Israel, and the Jewish state has taken them at their word.

The two countries have a storied past, and Israel has been fierce in defending itself. Still, for two decades, Iran has pursued nuclear capabilities. Now that global governments are largely ignoring Iran, Israeli leaders say the world’s top sponsor of terrorism is on the precipice of obtaining a nuclear weapon, and it will not stand for it.

Israel Prepares for War With Iran

Over the last 40 years, Israel has shown a willingness to defend itself from Iran. In 1981, Israel sent fighter jets into Iran and partially destroyed a nuclear reactor. In 2015, American and Israeli intelligence officials acknowledged Israel played a role in sabotaging Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment site, which led to the explosive destruction of the site.

Now, it appears Israel is preparing to defend itself once again.

On Sunday, June 12, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned Iran was too close to obtaining nuclear weapons. While calling on global powers to join Israel to apply full-scale diplomatic and tighter economic sanctions against Iran, the Israeli military is preparing for war. Still, the prime minister said Iran wouldn’t stop pursuing nuclear capabilities until outside forces stop it, and time is running out.

On Wednesday, June 8, the United Nations nuclear watchdog formally censored Iran after the rogue nation pulled the plug on international monitoring of its nuclear sites. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Iran removed 27 cameras, preventing inspectors from tracking Tehran’s nuclear advances while enriching uranium close to weapons-grade capabilities.

Ahead of Bennett’s statement, he recently changed the Israeli strategy for dealing with Iran. The prime minister said Iran’s days of receiving immunity when it strikes Israel are over. He noted Iran had crossed red lines over the last several years without any international response. He said Israel wouldn’t, under any conditions, accept Iran as a nuclear-capable threat able of inflicting harm on his country.

Israeli Military Preparing for Deep Strikes Into Iran

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) said it held four massive drills, including long-range flights of over 100 F-35s that practiced striking targets. Reports say Israel integrated a precision one-ton bomb to fit inside the underbelly of the F-35 for the long flight into Iran.

While the military isn’t saying more, what it did say should be clear to world leaders. If they don’t act, Israel intends to move unilaterally to protect its sovereignty and its citizens from Iranian threats.
