“You should be ashamed of yourselves”: Watch Jon Stewart Tear Into Congress Over 9/11 Victims Fund
The valiant men and women first on the scene during 9/11 don’t deserve this treatment. They deserve our eternal gratitude and just compensation for their sacrifices. Many of them still live with chronic health conditions, yet Congress is refusing to help them. When will our elected officials get their act together?
Obama Misrepresents US Gun Laws
Anybody can buy any weapon, any time whether or not, you know, without much, if any, regulation. They can buy it over the internet. They can buy machine guns.
Yes, whatever you say Obama. It’s not like we have laws preventing convicted felons from obtaining firearms. Maybe Obama believes that machine guns are sold through Amazon, too. The Left doesn’t get gun legislation — not even their esteemed ex-president.
McConnel Gets Preferential Treatment
Money in politics is rampant, and we’ve found another perpetrator. Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnel (R-KY) got flak about receiving preferential treatment from the Transportation Department. His marriage with Elaine Chao, the agency’s secretary, was brought into the picture. McConnel denied the accusations when he complained that only 5 of the 169 proposed projects went to Kentucky.
However, his testimony doesn’t hold up to the facts.
- Chao assigned a special envoy to work out the details of grant applications for Kentucky.
- The Transportation Department gave a minimum of $87 million in grants to the state.
- McConnel is up for re-election in 2020.
