(UnitedVoice.com) – In the weeks since the Capitol Hill incident on January 6, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been implementing a number of measures under the guise of keeping Congress safe. She’s had metal detectors installed, is creating a commission to investigate the incident, and asked retired US Army Lt. General Russel Honoré to check on the security on the Hill. One Republican is now calling her out for her actions.
During an interview with Tucker Carlson on Wednesday, February 17, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) said he thinks Pelosi is just trying to “seize power.” He believes she and her caucus could be using the incident on the Hill to “step on people’s Second Amendment rights” and their right to free speech.
Hawley asked what the Left is going to do next. Are they going to try to go through the “emails and bank statements and personal messages” of citizens who haven’t done anything wrong? Where they try to take this next is a real concern and everyone should stay vigilant. Complacency is how people lose their rights — and we can’t allow that to happen.
