Judge Blocks Biden's 100-Day Deportation Ban

(UnitedVoice.com) – In June 2020, the Supreme Court of the US upheld the DACA, stopping former President Donald Trump from ending the program. Democrats celebrated the ruling as a win for their team. Seven months later, that precedent is being used against Joe Biden’s administration.

On Tuesday, January 26, US District Judge Drew Tipton issued a temporary restraining order against the Biden administration from enforcing its 100-day deportation moratorium. The order came after Texas sued the new president, arguing the memorandum was issued “without any consideration whatsoever of a [more limited] policy,” citing the SCOTUS DACA ruling.

Tipton, a Trump-appointee, agreed with the state, saying the administration failed to provide “reasonable justification” for the moratorium. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton celebrated the decision.

The fact that the DACA ruling was used against the Left was poetic justice. But what’s even better is that one of the judges Trump appointed stood in the way of Biden’s outrageous order, proving the 45th president’s legacy is as incredible as Conservatives predicted.
