Kim Jong-un Responds to Trump’s UN Speech with “Fire”

When President Trump made his UN speech, calling for world leaders to take action in the face of North Korea’s ongoing nuclear tests, it was expected that the North Korean leader wouldn’t be pleased. But, Kim Jong-un surpassed all expectations, and even invented a new word, calling the US president a “mentally deranged dotard.” We aren’t sure exactly what a “dotard” is, but it doesn’t sound like a compliment.

Kim Jon-un’s Response

This morning, the North Korean leader stated that “The mentally deranged behavior of the U.S. president openly expressing on the UN arena the unethical will to ‘totally destroy’ a sovereign state, beyond the boundary of threats of regime change or overturn of social system, makes even those with normal thinking faculty think about discretion and composure.”
In response to the ongoing tests being conducted by North Koreans, many of which just happen to coincide with US holidays, the UN has imposed even more sanctions on the small country. Kim Jong-un’s response to the speech and sanctions included the threat “I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire.”

Ending the Rivalry

President Trump has stated that he hopes to end the rivalry between the two nations without resorting to military tactics or brute force. However, he also plans to apply more pressure to those assisting North Korea by signing an executive order that will mean harsh responses toward anyone doing business with North Korea.
According to the Associated Press, Kim Jong-un had what he thought of as words of wisdom to share with President Trump, making this statement: “I’d like to advise Trump to exercise prudence in selecting words and to be considerate of whom he speaks to when making a speech in front of the world.”
One of the possible reactions expected from Kim Jong-un is that he may very well detonate a Hydrogen bomb over the Pacific Ocean in a show of force. If so, President Trump may be faced with the decision to take up arms against North Korea.
