(UnitedVoice.com) – Presidential hopeful Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) has been doing great in the polls, and that support is now showing up in her donations.
Klobuchar reported over the weekend that she’s raised more than $12 million in online donations since the New Hampshire Democratic debate earlier this month.
Political pundits were impressed with her performance at the debate and predicted that it could help improve her chance in the election. They were right, Klobuchar ended up winning 20% of the votes in the New Hampshire primary, finishing a surprising third. This was a big improvement from Iowa, where she finished in fifth place.
The recent online donations have helped Klobuchar buy advertising spots in Nevada and hire 50 campaign staffers.
It’ll be interesting to see if she can keep up this momentum going into the South Carolina Democratic debate on February 29.
