(UnitedVoice.com) – Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and President Donald Trump formed a very close friendship over the last four years. The two men are occasionally spotted playing golf together, and the senator has been a steadfast ally of the commander-in-chief. Now, he’s once again trying to protect the president from the Democratic Party.
On January 13, Graham slammed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) after reports surfaced that he might support the impeachment of Trump. The South Carolina senator said the “last thing the country needs” is an impeachment trial as the president prepares to end his first term. He went on to say Senate leadership is “making the problem worse.” Later in the day, McConnell reversed course and said he would not be holding a trial before Trump’s first term was over.
Its now time for President-elect Biden to reject post presidential impeachment because of the destructive force it would have on the presidency and nation.
Every president is subject to the laws of the land. However, impeachment is political and will further divide the nation.

Graham has also made it clear that he believes the impeachment witch hunt is just going to divide the nation further. Democrats don’t seem to care about that. They’re solely focused on their vendetta. Fortunately, with allies like the senator in his corner, it’s unlikely the Left will ever reach the number of votes it needs to convict Trump.
